CARIRIS SANDALS AND INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
The Cariris sandals are made of a synthetic rubber (SSBR) and (PVR). There is no waste in our production process. As each pair of sandals is cut out there are trimmings left over and we melt them down into new rubber sheets and use them. This continuing recycling process makes our company stand out for its originality and social commitment, stimulating environmental sustainability. This is the opposite of conventional manufacturing which has a tremendous amount of waste and a negative impact on our environment.
IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Our sandals are recyclable and can be reprocessed in the manufacturing of various types of products, consequently avoiding the accumulation of waste and solid waste in nature, and encouraging environmental protection.
We seek to preserve the environment by controlling the emission of gases in the atmosphere. Considering that our main source of thermal energy is from plant/vegetable origin, we maintain a program of replanting and encouraging the recovery of native plants in our region, especially the specimens close to extinction.
We avoid the exotic vegetation, which are alien to our habitat, to protect our ecosystem, preventing pests and damage to flora and fauna of the Cariris region(in northeast of Brazil).
FURTHER ADVANCING THE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Inbop, the manufacturer of the Cariris sandals is part of a project called “Eco-Nursery”, launched by IBAMA(Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources).
The “Eco-Nursery” program produces seedlings on a large scale for our replanting program and as result we will become surplus in the production of O2 as we reduce further CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
