Do you ever notice sometimes, depending on how you store your flip flops, there may be dents on the footbed/upper sole? Or sometimes when the straps are not in the up right position and you can’t seem to straighten them out? Read about a Life Saver Tool When Decorating Flip Flops.
Here is a little secret
Just using a hair blow dryer or heat gun (preferably) on the dents will bring them right out and make your flip flops as good as new! Apply the heat at approx. 1 1/2 inch away from the flip flop as long as needed, until the dent/mark goes away.
For the straps, place something under the straps, such as socks, then apply the heat onto the straps (especially where the straps meet). Once they cool down remove the “socks” and then *BAM* it’s as good as new.

I have a warming drawer on my oven. I put socks or linen in the sandals and bake them for a couple minutes on medium heat (150-200) on top of a towel.
Works great!

That is a unique way to do it! Thank you for sharing.
The most difficult part of embellishing my flip flops was finishing off the ribbon when wrapping the straps. to get a smooth tight finish when you are through, put just a touch of hot glue to the ribbon to hold in place, then cut and seal the end of your ribbon. Place your adhesive on the end of the ribbon about 3/4″ to the end. Wait about a minute, then smooth down tightly so that the ribbon ends just underneath the strap so that the end is not visible, then wrap tightly with a piece of scotch tape all the way around. Let dry several hours, remove the tape and you have a very professional smooth finish!
